How it works
How SkafRemix gets into your venue—and how a night runs.
For operators it starts before the first guest arrives: understanding the venue, setting the profile, installing the Edge and briefing the staff.
Six steps from venue check to optional guest features.
- 01
Venue check
Together we define sound system, room, opening hours, music styles and the modes you want.
Who: You and the SkafRemix team
- 02
Music profile
Genres, energy curve, important songs, unwanted content and staff permissions are configured.
Who: You, with our help
- 03
Set up the Edge
Connect the Edge to your sound system and optional screens, test the outputs and check the fallback.
Who: SkafRemix team remotely (free) with your contact on site
- 04
Brief your staff
Staff learn start, pause, skip, mood, volume and emergency takeover.
Who: SkafRemix team
- 05
Start the night
SkafRemix follows the planned flow. Staff can step in at any time.
Who: Your staff
- 06
Activate guests – optional
QR, requests, voting and screen moments are switched on only if they suit your format.
Who: You decide
Scan, request, vote, result.
- 01
Scan
Guests scan the QR code at the table or on a screen. It opens in the browser—no app, no account.
- 02
Request
They send a song request. Anything outside your rules is not played automatically.
- 03
Vote
They support requests from other guests. Votes show what guests want.
- 04
Result
A request joins the flow when it fits the phase and your rules—the current song finishes first. Staff keep the final say.
Paid options are optional and never guarantee the next track. Venue rules, fairness and music quality always come first.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Local reliability is the most important promise of SkafRemix. This is exactly what happens.
- What happens without internet?
- The Edge keeps playing locally from the prepared music. Your guests keep hearing music.
- What stays controllable?
- Staff keep control on site through the Edge launcher and the remote keys.
- Which cloud features pause?
- Guest QR requests and votes, the staff web page and remote changes pause while the venue is offline.
- What happens after reconnection?
- The Edge reconnects and resynchronises. Cloud features resume and changes are synchronised.
- How does a staff member take over manually?
- Online, a staff member switches to Manual on the staff page and decides what plays. Offline, staff control the show directly on the Edge launcher and with the remote keys.
