Guide

What to show on the screens in your bar or lounge

Many venues have screens that show a random TV channel or nothing at all. Used well, screens support the music, invite guests to take part and make the room feel alive.

In short

  • Show what is playing so guests stop asking staff
  • Place the request QR code where guests can scan it from their seat
  • Use visuals that match the energy of the music
  • Sports and broadcasts need the right display rights

Five ideas for your screens

Now Playing

The current song and artist information on screen.

Request QR

A QR code that opens song requests in the browser.

Visuals

Motion that follows the music without distracting from it.

Lyrics

Sing-along moments and karaoke nights.

Sports moments

Scores and match times during big matches.

Plan your screens

  1. List your screens

Note each screen, its connection (HDMI or DisplayPort) and who can see it.

  2. Give each screen a job

For example: QR near the tables, visuals behind the bar, lyrics near the stage.

  3. Check readability

Make sure QR codes and text are readable from where guests sit.

Screens with SkafRemix

From Flow, the Edge detects connected screens, sets them up automatically and offers 50 display modes plus QR and Now Playing. Lyrics and sports moments come with Crowd and depend on the song and on display rights.

Questions and answers

Where should the QR code for requests be?

Where guests can scan it from their seat: on table cards or on a screen that is visible from the tables.

Can we show TV broadcasts on bar screens?

Showing broadcasts in public needs the display rights for your venue. Check with the broadcaster or rights holder.

Do screens need to be connected to the internet?

With SkafRemix, screens are connected to the Edge via HDMI or DisplayPort; they do not need their own internet connection.
